Krupówki Street

Krupówki Street is Zakopane’s vibrant main street, perfect for shopping, dining, and entertainment. Stroll past boutiques, souvenir shops, and local artisan stalls, then grab a bite at cozy cafés or traditional Polish restaurants. Street performers and lively energy make it a fun spot to explore day or night — a must-visit for guests looking to soak up the local atmosphere! Only steps away from the Aries Hotel.

Gubałówka

Gubałówka is one of Zakopane’s most popular spots, offering the best panoramic views of the town and surrounding Tatras. The area is filled with restaurants, cafés, little shops, and family-friendly activities, including a luge ride that’s perfect for kids. For our welcome drinks, you’ll get a taste of the atmosphere, but if you’d like to explore more, I recommend arriving an hour or two early to enjoy the restaurants, attractions, and scenic viewpoints at your own pace.

Morskie Oko

Morskie Oko (“Eye of the Sea”) is a stunning alpine lake and one of Poland’s most famous natural sites. It’s about an hour’s drive from Zakopane each way (traffic can add a bit of extra time). From Palenica Białczańska, enjoy a scenic 1–2 hour walk to the lake—or take a horse-drawn carriage if you’d like to save your legs. Once there, you can relax at the mountain hut offering traditional polish cuisine, stroll around the lake, or tackle a more strenuous hike to a bird’s-eye viewpoint.

Check the weather before you go, and consider bringing a poncho or umbrella. Bring cash (many places don’t accept cards) and comfortable shoes — it’s a must-see!

Kasprowy Wierch

Kasprowy Wierch is one of the most iconic peaks in the Tatra Mountains. You can take the cable car up from Zakopane, and once at the top, you’re standing on the border of Poland and Slovakia with truly epic panoramic views. Enjoy walking around the summit, snap photos, and explore the gift shops and mountain restaurants serving local snacks and drinks. It’s a perfect half-day adventure for breathtaking scenery without a strenuous hike!

Thermal Baths

Zakopane has numerous thermal baths within an hour of the city. Check out the website below to explore all your options. My personal recommendation is the Chochołowskie Thermal Baths — the largest in the Tatra region, featuring indoor and outdoor thermal pools, slides, saunas, and brine and sulphur waters.
