The closest airport to Zakopane is John Paul II International Airport (KRK), located in Kraków. From the airport, you can reach Zakopane’s city center in about two hours by bus or private transfer. I highly recommend spending 2–3 nights in Kraków before the wedding — it’s Poland’s most popular tourist destination, filled with rich history, stunning architecture, and vibrant culture.

July is typically the warmest month in Zakopane, with average highs around 22–24°C (72–75°F) and lows around 12–14°C (54–57°F). Most days are pleasant and sunny, but cold fronts and rain showers can occur, especially in the mountains. We recommend packing summer clothes for the daytime, plus light jackets or sweaters for cooler evenings or unexpected chilly weather.
